A tiny angry woman that sits inside your microwave and steam-cleans it. It sounds ridiculous. The annoying part? It might actually be useful.

Meet Angry Mama, a small microwave-cleaning gadget that looks exactly like its name suggests: an angry mom standing with her hands on her hips.
The idea is ridiculously simple.
Remove her head, fill the body with vinegar and water, put everything back together and place her in the microwave.
After several minutes, steam escapes through the top of her head and fills the microwave. The steam helps soften dried food, grease and splashes, making them easier to wipe away afterwards.
No special cleaning chemicals. No batteries. No motor.
Just water, vinegar…and an angry plastic woman.
But Wait — Can’t You Just Use a Bowl?
Yes.
And that’s where this gets interesting.
Put water and vinegar in a microwave-safe bowl, heat it, let the steam work and wipe down the microwave afterwards.
Same basic principle.
So technically, Angry Mama solves a problem that was already solved by something almost everyone has in their kitchen.
And yet…
We kind of want one.
Why This Gadget Might Actually Make Sense
Sometimes a product doesn’t need to invent a completely new solution to be useful.
Angry Mama gives you fill lines, contains the liquid and directs steam through vents in the top. It’s reusable, dishwasher safe and — perhaps most importantly — makes an annoying household job slightly more fun.
And there’s another surprisingly good argument for it:
You might actually use it.
A bowl hidden in a cupboard doesn’t remind you to clean your microwave.
An angry little woman staring at you from the kitchen might.
The IWTB Question
At around the price of a cheap kitchen gadget, Angry Mama isn’t going to destroy anyone’s budget.
But that’s exactly the type of purchase we like questioning.
Small “only $8” purchases add up.
If you buy it, use it twice and forget about it, it’s another piece of plastic taking up space in a cupboard.
If you use it regularly for several years?
That’s different.
Use it once a month for three years and you’re looking at roughly 22 cents per clean on an $8 purchase.
Suddenly, that’s not terrible value.
Our Verdict — For Now
Worth It? → MAYBE.
You absolutely don’t need Angry Mama.
A microwave-safe bowl, water and vinegar can achieve the same basic steam-cleaning effect.
But Angry Mama is cheap, reusable, simple and strangely likeable.
And if making microwave cleaning slightly easier — or simply more fun — means you actually clean the thing more often, maybe this ridiculous little gadget has earned its place in the kitchen.
Would we buy it?
Honestly…
We’re tempted.
IWTB has not personally tested Angry Mama yet. This is a first-look Feed post based on the product’s function, manufacturer information and published hands-on tests. If we buy one, we’ll come back and put it to a proper IWTB test.
